Tokens for Bags® Charities Spring 2018

Buffalo Exchange Tokens for Bags program

Every six months, we support new local charities through our Tokens for Bags® program. Instead of giving out bags, we give customers the opportunity to donate five cents (the cost of the bag) to a charity of their choice. Since 1994, we have raised over $728,595 for thousands of local nonprofit organizations through our Tokens for Bags® program, saving 14.5 million bags from polluting the environment.

Find your local Buffalo Exchange below and check out the charities you can give back to.

  1. Hello,
I’m on the Board of Directors of a non profit called Camp Fire. It’s a National Organization (formed over 100 years ago as Camp Fire Girls). We are the Central Texas Chapter.

Our group does amazing work connecting kids and their families to nature, and creating resilient kids be prepared for leadership.

I was at the Austin Buffalo Exchange this weekend and saw your wonderful Tokens for Bags program. How can I get Camp Fire on as one of your non-profit recipients?

I’ve listed my email below. But our Executive Director Barb has a Camp Fire email, in case you want to reach out to her directly or in addition to me: bdunnam@camp-fire.org

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Diana,
Thanks for reaching out to us! We are happy to hear of your interest in our Tokens for Bags program. We selected our Tokens for Bags recipients for the first half of 2018, but we will be looking for new recipients in May. I suggest visiting your local store and providing the store manager with information about your nonprofit for consideration. I will also forward your information and inquiry to the store. If they’re interested, they’ll be in contact with you. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you!
      Best,
      Savannah
