Roadshow Revival: A Tribute to the music of Johnny Cash
By Taylor, Buffalo Exchange Ventura
This passed weekend in Ventura, CA some of our Ventura Buffaloes got to attend the ever-so-epic Johnny Cash Music Festival. The musical tribute event, in honor of “The Man In Black”, was packed with pin-up and rock-a-billy fashionistas who came from near and far. Although the iconic Mr. Cash passed in 2003, the impact of his music on generations in undeniable – and it showed. Thousands of Cash’s number one fans packed the Ventura County fairgrounds to listen to the sounds of: the lovely Wanda Jackson, Big River, The Johnnys, X, The Blasters and more.
We, the Ventura Buffaloes, had such a blast voting in the hot-rod mini car show and pin-up girl contest. The day was full of sunshine and positive vibes – we can’t wait to celebrate next years’ festival!
