Info: Allston neighbors Brighton and Brookline and borders the Charles River. Allston Village is home to many one-of-a-kind businesses including coffee shops like Pavement Coffeehouse and Refuge Café, as well as small shops specializing in everything from books to pets to spiritual healing. There are also quite a large variety of ethnically-diverse eateries. The most enticing thing about this area is the thrift stores. Many students from neighboring colleges (BU, Simmons, Emmanuel) reside in the area and choose downtown Allston as their nightlife destination. Whether it’s having a beer at the low-key Model Café, playing pool at Patron’s, or rocking out at one of the numerous live music venues (Brighton Music Hall, The Great Scott), Allston is always wide awake and kicking. Buffalo Exchange is located right off the Harvard Ave. T stop on the Green Line.
