Christina is the blogger behind BG by Christina – a Columbus-based fashion and lifestyle blog. She loves adventuring around the city, finding vintage treasures and doing home DIY projects with her best friend (and husband!) Fred. A few of her favorite things include iced coffee, flowers, pugs and bubble baths. Sounds good to us! She stopped by the Buffalo Exchange Columbus Grand Opening Party and we asked her about her personal style and why she loves shopping at Buffalo Exchange.
What do you love about Columbus?
The diverse group of people. I love that there are so many creators here. I’m inspired by the art, the street style and the food. And I love the amazing church community that I have here!
Do you have any favorite spots to visit that are in the same neighborhood as the Buffalo Exchange?

What got you started shopping at Buffalo Exchange?
I had seen Buffalo Exchanges in other states before and was so excited to see one come to Columbus! I was drawn to the store because of the unique, quirky pieces you can find.
Why do you like shopping resale – and Buffalo Exchange in particular?
It’s an environmentally conscious way to shop and they give back! I love that Buffalo Exchange fights clothing pollution and protects the environment by recycling apparel.
What’s been your best Buffalo find?
My best find so far has been this unique watercolor floral romper with an overlay maxi skirt! It’s so feminine and pretty.
What’s your approach to shopping at Buffalo Exchange? Any tips for other resale shoppers?
I like to keep a mental list of specific items that I’m looking for when I go shopping to avoid overspending. I do like to be surprised by a find every now and then, though, so just go into it with an open mind and see what catches your eye.
How would you describe your personal style?
Romantic and bohemian with a dash of glam. It’s whimsical and eclectic – a collection of everything I love.
Where do you get style inspiration from?
I’ve always been inspired by street style and the places I travel. Also by different eras in history.
What are you looking to add to your wardrobe right now?
I can’t get enough floral prints or maxi lengths. I’m also looking to add some statement rings and layering bracelets to my jewelry collection.
What spring trend are you most excited about this year?
Slightly translucent pieces. I think they’re so romantic and dreamy, plus they’re fun to layer with and airy – perfect for spring
What style advice would you give to others?
Have fun experimenting with trends and different styles and you’ll eventually create a personal style that is all your own. My best style advice is to wear what you like and not to worry about the opinions of others!
