The New York Times mentioned Buffalo Exchange in “The Marie Kondo Effect: A Closet’s Loss, a Consignor’s Gain” on August 4, 2015: “…The book’s philosophy on decluttering was also a boon to consignment boutiques in New York. … At the Buffalo Exchange in the East Village, a secondhand clothing store popular with students, the store manager, Amanda Garrett, said she gets five to six people a day seeking to unload their wares after reading the book. ‘They seem to be letting go of things that in the past they would have held on to a little longer, perhaps for sentimental reasons,” she said, “or maybe it was a great sample-sale score.’…”
