The Pueblo Chieftain mentioned Buffalo Exchange in “Coats for Cubs drive brings Warmth, Bonding to Orphaned Wildlife” on January 18, 2017: “Coats for Cubs was founded originally by the Humane Society of the United States in 2005. Buffalo Exchange became involved in 2006 and in 2011 took over the operation as costs became too great for the Humane Society…The drive, which runs until April 22, has collected more than 12,000 coats since 2006. Last year, the drive collected and redistributed 1,178 furs…The furs provide bedding for animals. …”

As a Buffalo Exchange shopper since 2004, Dakotah has long been devoted to recycled fashion and sustainability. Over the years, she’s developed her signature athleisure style while shopping at Buffalo. It should come as little surprise, then, that during one of her frequent shopping and selling trips, Dakotah was approached to join the team. She jumped at the opportunity!
A Career in Fashion
Dakotah began as a Buyer in February of 2015 and, as she learned more about brands, styles and trends, her passion for the resale clothing industry grew stronger than ever before. About a week before her one-year anniversary with Buffalo Exchange, an Associate Manager position opened. Dakotah decided to apply and, well, the rest is history!
Now that it’s time to hit the books again, you may be wondering how to update your closet for spring when you just spent $150 on a textbook you really don’t want to read anyway. For your budget-friendly shopping needs, Buffalo Exchange Las Vegas put together 5 outfits for less than $50 apiece!
Street Style Star
Tricia is a spring street style star in this “Good Vibes” T-shirt ($6), a retro nautical print jacket ($15), a cute denim Zara skirt with patches ($16.50) and a plain ball cap ($10).
You have to leave for work in 10 minutes and you can’t find anything to wear because everything cute is buried under a mountain of clothing. Sound familiar? If so, kick off 2017 with a new and improved winter wardrobe. Put on some groovy music and comfy clothes, then start cleaning out your closet! We make it easy with these 7 tips.
1. A Rule of Thumb: If you can’t think of at least three outfits to wear an item with, it’s time to move it out of the closet! Ain’t nobody got time for that!
2. Tried and True: Do you own essential sweaters and jackets that have stood the test of time? Keep them! Organize your closet so that the winter items you reach for time and time again are easily accessible.

The right coat and boots, of course! The Maximal Artist knows this well, going for a bold, unique look with a lime green faux fur coat and platform boots in white cracked leather. These are sure to keep her on top of the snow and win her compliments!

What do you get when you’re a music fan AND a stat nerd? 66 music “Best Of”s distilled to one consensus list to rule them all.
There are, of course, drawbacks to cobbled-together selections like this, what with their common denominator-ness. But it’s similar to the annual nominees for Best Picture – while your favorite may not be on the list, it’s still a good snapshot of what’s making an impact at the time. So, whaddaya say we get that turntable spinnin’ and drop the needle? Without further ado, we present the best music of 2016.
PINEGROVE – CARDINAL
This album made it onto 26% of Best Of lists and 3 Top Ten lists.

With the New Year upon us, it’s a great time to find ways to give back! Every year, Buffalo Exchange runs Coats for Cubs, a donation drive that collects real fur coats and trimmings to provide comfort for orphaned and injured wildlife. Now through April 22nd, we will be collecting real furs on behalf of wildlife rehabilitators across the country.
History of Coats for Cubs
Continuing the work of the Humane Society of the United States, Buffalo Exchange has held the Coats for Cubs fur drive annually since 2006. Over the years, we’ve collected over 12,000 fur donations to aid in animal rehabilitation and 1,170 in 2016 alone!
Every six months, we support new local charities through our Tokens for Bags® program. Instead of giving out bags, we give customers the opportunity to donate five cents (the cost of the bag) to a charity of their choice. Since 1994, we have raised over $728,595 for thousands of local nonprofit organizations through our Tokens for Bags® program, saving 14.5 million bags from polluting the environment.
