Most times it’s random happenings that propel you into a new direction in life. For one of our customer, Max von Isser, the random happening started at Buffalo Exchange. We sat down with Max and asked him about how this all happened and the life style of a high fashion model.Full Story
Street Style: Houston
In Houston, Texas, not only is the hot climate a factor in deciding our wardrobes; local trends are also a big influence. For the guys, we’re seeing a lot of layered tanks, cutoff denim and fun prints, accessorizing with the likes of leather backpacks and suede shoes. As far as the girls go, bohemian chic is still a very big trend with lightweight fabrics and flowing, printed maxi dresses. We’re also seeing a more soft and subtle black/white contrast trending in the area. Houston’s style has to be versatile with the high humidity and substantial heat, but no matter what the weather is like, fashion will always come first.Full Story

Meet “Wolfy the Mod of London. Friend of The Who”. Spotted at Buffalo Exchange San Francisco (Haight), we noticed his killer vest and asked to check it out up close! He started wearing/decorating these vests when he was 16 years old. Each vest takes about 5-10 years and this is his 3rd vest in the 32 years he’s been wearing them. Tasty DIY: Sonoran Hot Dog
By Gneiss Hobbs, Buffalo Exchange Tucson
Football season is in full swing! I know, I don’t really care much for the sport either, but years ago I discovered this fun event that goes hand-in-hand with a football game—Tailgating! At first I thought, “Oh geez! Why would I want to hang out in a parking lot with a bunch of crazy football fans?” I quickly realized that it is actually a really good time! You get to eat tons of food and it is totally acceptable to drink an adult beverage in the middle of the day!
Before each UofA home game, some of my family and friends get together and spend a few hours chatting, drinking, playing Corn Hole, and of course eating. We try to get a little more creative with the food than just the common burgers & dogs, so a few weeks ago we enjoyed Sonoran Hotdogs—a local Tucson favorite. Here’s how we made them: DIY: Sonoran Hot Dog Story”>Full Story

Fashions Night Out: East Village
Buffalo Exchange in East Village decided to celebrate this year’s Fashion’s Night Out by helping our customers get decked out, DIY-style! They set up a studding station outside of their store, offering customers a variety of shapes, sizes and colors of metallic studs to add a little bling to something they had just purchased, or something they were already wearing. Wait, colors? YES! They spray painted studs to offer a little remix on the classic trend; Cobalt Blue, Mopey Mauve, Neon Green and the buzz color of Fall 2012: OXBLOOD! The addition of color to pyramid and dome studs was super cool. Some customers came with an idea of what they wanted, like a cross-shaped pattern of studs on a back pocket or a few tiny studs in the corner of a collar. Full Story
