IT'S SIMPLE...

sell your clothesBuffalo Exchange is unique because clothing and accessories are bought, sold and traded directly with store customers. Bring in your former favorites for trade or cash on the spot! Buffalo Exchange will buy quality items that can be resold, making our selection eclectic and fun. Our ever-changing inventory includes designer wear, vintage, jeans, leather, great basics, and irresistible one-of-a-kind items. You'll also find new merchandise and accessories to choose from. We offer great fashion finds at low prices at Buffalo Exchange...where recycling is always in style.

HELPING OUR ENVIRONMENT

get a charity token instead of a bagWe are a sustainable company that works to protect the environment by reusing and recycling clothing. The E.P.A. estimates 11.8 million tons of textiles were generated in 2006, or 5% of total U.S. municipal solid waste. Almost half of the 2.5 billion pounds of postconsumer textile waste prevented from entering the solid waste stream is recycled as secondhand clothing, according to the Council for Textile Recycling. So trading used clothing has a positive environmental impact. Buffalo Exchange donates to local nonprofit agencies in the community through its Tokens for Bags program, which has generated over $265,000 in donations to hundreds of nonprofit groups since 1994, saving 5.3 million bags. Shoppers are encouraged to accept a token instead of a bag for purchases, and Buffalo Exchange donates five cents to a charity of the customer's choice.

Good news for America's movement toward greener business... For the Earth Day Dollar Sale on April 21, 2007, Buffalo Exchange stores across the country raised over $43,000 for the Center for Environmental Health (CEH), whose cutting edge advocacy work moves major industries to greener practices, helping them see the value in business that protects consumer public health. All proceeds from Sale items, sold for one dollar each on April 21, went to CEH, mostly to CEH's Pollution Prevention and Sustainable Food Programs. This is the largest donation since Buffalo Exchange began the Earth Day benefits in 1997! Buffalo Exchange has raised a total of nearly $211,000 for environmental causes through Dollar Day Sales on Earth Day.

Give your furs back to the animals! Now through Earth Day, April 22, 2008, bring your real fur apparel, including trims, accessories and shearling to your local Buffalo Exchange and let us know it's a donation for Coats for Cubs. Since you're donating to The Humane Society of the United States, condition is unimportant. Used furs provide bedding and comfort to orphaned and injured wildlife. Buffalo Exchange collected a reported total of 1,044 used furs for Coats for Cubs from November 1, 2006 to April 22, 2007. Along with the spring 2006 drive, Buffalo Exchange has collected a total of 1,917 used furs on behalf of Coats for Cubs.
